We have just had National Reconciliation Week, and one of our activities was making dot paintings inspired by indigenous style art. We cut out templates for the animals and used cotton buds to paint the dots. We tried to make our pictures tell a story. Unfortunately we didn't have any black paper or cardboard, which would have made the paintings more effective, but they didn't come out too badly, for a first attempt. Here's one from each the snowflakes and one of mine (yes, home schooling is a great excuse for me to do fun things I didn't get to do at school).
